Sec. 27. Any employee of such city who solicits support for any candidate for commissioner, or any such employee who Shall endeavor to influence any voter to vote for or against any candidate for commis sloner, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction Shall not be fined less than ten nor more than fifty dollars, and may also be imprisoned in the county jail for not more than ten days. Justices Of the peace and judges of the inferior courts shall with in their respective territories, have jurisdiction of this Offense.
