Publisher's Synopsis
The brutality inflicted on his fiancée was the breaking point. Dusty had expected most of the problems of winter drilling in Northern Canada with its relentless cold, but he didn't expect of being accused of the crime that shattered his world.
Against his better judgment, he had contracted the geological supervision of the Amyot Project. From the first day, the operation spiraled into chaos, as it was plagued with the efforts of hostile villagers and environmentalists, rig accidents, an assistant with a hidden agenda and an attempt on his life. As the Project became financially unstable, Dusty realized that in order to clear his name, it was up to him to identify the culprit. The closer he got to exposing the attacker, the more dangerous the game became. And in the unforgiving wilderness, a single misstep could mean losing everything, including his life.
