Its introduction is written by the President of the Board of Home Missions and Church Extension of The United Lutheran Church in America. Its object is to set forth the claims and fundamental importance of Home Missions in America, not for the sake of the homeland, but for the most speedy evan gelization of the world. It stands for the entire program of our Saviour, and calls attention to the main cause of our hitherto failure, in the hope that especial attention may be given to this center of in?uence and power.
