"In Bible times, when someone went through something and God brought them out, they'd build an altar as a way of saying, 'look what God did here.' They'd make sacrifices to Him there to praise His name and each altar would remain as a marking for things God had done. It's commonly said that "altars have been built" throughout people's lives. My writings are things I've built, (through God-given gifts) as I struggled, coped, and overcame every time I went through something. These are altars of my own which show what I've been through, where Christ has brought me now, and where He will bring me to in the future
Each poem in this book has a story behind it, some of which I will tell to you in the following 'Building the Altar' descriptions. 'Building the Altar' stories will be testimonials about where the poem came from, what inspired it, and what God was doing or has done..."
