Excerpt from Alphabetical Catalogue of the Library of the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Vol. 2: Preceded by an Index of Subjects; Comprising the Additions, 1885-1900
Index of Subjects of the first ivolume also supplied in the present. The new volume contains the additions to the Library made since 1885. Its preparation was begun in 1899, and was designed as a memorial of the Ter centenary of the F aculty' celebrated in November of that year. The delay in its completion has been partly due to the occasional pressure of other duties on the Librarian, partly to the increased labour involved in cataloguing works executed on the plan of collaboration, which have much increased in number of late years, and partly to the considerable time required for pre paring for the printer the Index of Subjects after the Catalogue of Authors was in type.
