Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Albuquerque Business Directory for 1883
It has been prepared with great and careful painstaking and research, that every statement of fact should be reliable, and every inference legitimate, and the initiatory step to the presentation of all the essential facts of the past, present and future history of the city, and in some sense, of the territory.
In this connection I desire to acknowledge the kindness of Judge Hazeldine and Prof. Bryan for the use of records from which was drawn much of the information herein contained, also, to Father Durante, for the translation of the statement of Jose Lucero, sacristan of the church in the West End, whose father, for many years before, held the same office in the old structure that preceded the present one.
