Publisher's Synopsis

The intention of this book is to fill a gap in examination preparation. Examinations of clinical skill require revision and this book is designed to help with this. It is written to replace the cards so often prepared by the student about how to examine a system or patient under examination settings. It is principally written to help students preparing for undergraduate "final examinations" and those studying for such postgraduate diplomas as the MRCP. However, it should prove useful to students studying for any form of clinical examination.;The structure of the book is such that the headings down the left-hand side of the page can act as an aide memoire or checklist of things to look for, whilst the accompanying notes provide useful tips and explanations. This format also allows candidates to add notes to the text.;Clinical practice evolves to meet changing needs and priorities. Accordingly, new chapters on stroke, confused patients, AIDS, and examination technique have been added. The other chapters have been modified to take account of developments.
