Publisher's Synopsis
The Italian anthropologist Nello Puccioni (1881-1937), a pupil of the famous Paolo Mantegazza, led two long research missions in Cyrenaica between 1928 and 1929, on behalf of the local government. The diary of these journeys, never published so far, returns a complex reconstruction of the Libyan situation, providing information on the Italians who lived and worked in Cyrenaica in those days, and on the Italian colonial politics.
