Publisher's Synopsis
This two-volume set is a contribution to the subject of spectrum analysis and array processing, the methods and applications of which have been through a period of consolidations and advances in recent years.;The books provide detailed discussion of fundamental issues in spectrum analysis and array processing; detailed treatments of popular and new algorithms for spectrum analysis and array processing; and applications.;The material in this work, Volume I, has an underlying slant toward the spectrum analysis of time series and time-frequency signal analysis and that in Volume II has an underlying slant toward array processing techniques applied to passive systems. The fundamentals of spectrum analysis formulated in the time domain and those of array processing in a spatial context are closely linked and therefore there is a considerable interplay between the material in Volumes I and II.
