The HIRSCHFELD ADVANCED Mood Disorder Questionnaire (HA-MDQ) is a 29-item, self-report, patient screening scale for depression and bipolar disorder. It takes five to ten minutes to complete and offers screening cutoff scores for the following domains:
Depression
Bipolar Disorder: Both current and historical assessment for bipolar depression, bipolar mania, and bipolar mixed state
Substance Abuse, a common comorbid condition to mood disorders that often interferes with successful treatment
