The subconscious is the problem solving center of the human body. Being able to direct one's subconscious and obtain the power to 'see' what others cannot, to visualize solutions where others have none, and to envision strategic ways forward where none appear to exist, definitely provides one with a significant advantage in most, if not all, situations. However, developing a usable understanding of the function, enormous capability, and incredible power the subconscious can bring to one's thought process is indeed a substantial challenge. It took me years, but with this book you can start today. My efforts began when I entered college to study electrical engineering, an effort I found I was ill prepared for. Under considerable pressure to get top grades, one day I decided to try to train my subconscious to help on exams while I was taking them. The results were startling and I graduated with nearly a 4.0 honor point average. Later it helped me complete my doctoral program in just over 2 years.When I went to work, I found that my subconscious was equally effective on work problems. Without being asked, it provided the solution to a potentially project ending problem plaguing one of the company's major government contracts. After my solution was implemented and shown to work, I was told the problem had been considered unsolvable. As a result, this began the redirection of my career to that of solving major technical problems others were unable to solve, including problems on, or associated with, Titan II, Apollo, Boeing 747, and NATO, which I did for more than 56 years.Given the subconscious is one of the most powerful of the human resources, it is unfortunate that so few are aware of its capabilities: something I have been working to change. For years I have been formally and informally helping people, including those who worked for me, learn about the power of their subconscious and how to utilize it with the idea that being able to direct the efforts of one's subconscious mind can enable them to solve more difficult problems than they are currently able to solve. While satisfying, I felt troubled in that I was only reaching a small number of people. I kept thinking: We live in an intelligent and highly capable country, but how much better could it be if everyone was able to direct their subconscious? I decided to write a book so that anyone who wished could develop the capability to control their subconscious. The first part of the book describes the different ways used to direct the efforts of our subconscious minds to help us solve our problems. The second part is devoted to how the subconscious appears to function. The third part provides examples of problems we all face from time to time, called Everyday Problems. It is intended to show ways to get one's subconscious to help develop solutions for those types of problems. The fourth part of the book describes, in some detail, a number of the 'unsolvable' problems I was tasked to undertake and how I solved them. To emphasize the range of the subconscious mind's span of power, each of these six examples is taken from a different area: testing of major systems, product production, computer operations, building international communications systems, international negotiations, and, of course, grades in college. I hope that you find the thought of having such a capability exciting, especially since you know it is something that can be learned.
