I have endeavoured to collect in the following pages all that can be said upon the subject of adenoid vegetations of the naso pharynx. Therein will be found as complete an account of the history, pathology, symptoms, and treatment as it is possible to gather. It has more than once occurred to me that a disease which is so universal, which has such an enormous literature of its own, and which is of so much interest to all branches of our profession, ought to boast at least one book in the English language.
I have done my best to place before the reader the opinions of all or most of the authorities upon the subject, and upon these I have commented in the light of my own experience.
