Publisher's Synopsis
The Catholic Church teaches that chastity is the obligation of all; there are no exceptions. Yet modern attitudes, at least by implication, proclaim that one need not pay too much attention to what Catholicism teaches since, it is said, "we live in an enlightened, tolerant and liberal age." Homosexual activists, for example, sometimes announce that the Church will have to change her old fashioned stance and enter the modern era. We are told that homosexual relationships are normal, not unchaste but God-given. It is said that the position of the Church no longer matters.
It is to these attitudes that these previously published essays are directed. And also, of course, to those who might have been influenced to ignore or deride Catholic thought and practice. Too late do many find that they have been misled, seduced away from God and from the interior peace of soul. The painful cost to them is often enormous.
