This brief and simple statement, it is hoped, will be sufficient to establish the society's claims on the support of a Christian Public particularly when it is Considered, that its Chaplains and Catechists will henceforth, in the discharge of their arduous duties, be sub ject to the control, guided by the advice, and animated by the encouragement of the Bishops of the West Indian' Church. The following is a short view of the society's present resources; by which it will be seen that its expenditure exceeds its income by no less a sum than 11251.32d.
