Limited, from this cause, to a narrow range of topics, I have con cluded to offer you a few remarks on the apparent imperfections of our system of Patent Laws - those laws which have for their object to protect and reward improvements in the useful arts. The number of such improvements, which must have attracted your notice in the present exhibition, may perhaps invest this subject with a certain degree of interest.
