In a number of communications recently appearing,7 addition compounds of organic acids with organic substances containing oxygen have been described and compared. In a later paper8 the results of this series of investigations were summed up and cer tain laws derived, which were then applied to aqueous solutions of a series of acids and their validity tested by means of freezing point curves. As the results. Of these investigations are of great importance and have a direct application to this work, it seems advisable to repeat them here.
