Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Acts and Proceedings of the Synod of the Potomac of the Reformed Church in the United States: In General Convention at Altoona, Pa;, October, 1882
The people of God, occupying such a position in His kingdom on earth, - fed and nourished by heavenly manna, and drinking of the water of life freely, -will abound in all that is good, and holy, and heavenly. The fruits of the Spirit will appear. Hence apportionments are paid, a missionary spirit revived, an increase of benevolent contributions reported, prayer meetings better attended, the Sunday sehool cause promoted, and orphan homes fostered, the means of grace more faithfully used, and many, both old and young, have entered the fold. The attendance upon divine service is reported good, and mainly peace and good-will prevail among our people and pastors.
