Publisher's Synopsis
A collection of pus that can be found either under the skin or internally in the body is referred to as an abscess. Abscesses are typically caused either by an infection or by the presence of a foreign object that has become lodged within the body. When your body is attempting to fight off an infection or eliminate a foreign object that has become lodged inside of it, the affected tissues become flooded with white blood cells, and the fluid that is produced is known as pus.
Pus is made up of bacteria, both living and dead, white blood cells, both living and dead, and the remnants of cells and tissue that have been injured or killed as a result of the infection or the immune response that your body has mounted against it.
