Via a range of practical activities and exercises, this course is designed to provide students with a genuine insight into Spanish culture, and offers flexibility through a selection of learning material. The activities offer advanced-level students material for approximately 40 hours' learning. Central to the course are the unscripted recordings of interviews with real Spanish people from a variety of backgrounds and geographical areas. These recordings present a series of activities designed to develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The course is intended to build students' confidence by means of carefully constructed exercises, which have been developed through extensive piloting with students of Spanish. Cultural awareness is enhanced through activities based on practical everyday situations. The materials present a picture of present-day Spain as seen through the eyes of Spaniards.
