Uncertainty is true. Genuine is false. The two traits bombard Steve Worthington as he tries to find resolution to his forced retirement from an important attorney position that once offered him status, wealth, and security in an unsecure world. Through an unexpected intervention in a terrorist financial file involving ISIS, Steve loses his job from the bank. Prior to this event, Steve's aunt invites him to share her memories of her deceased husband, Joshua. His inner voice becomes a true physical manifestation, becoming a part of Steve's life, encouraging him to fight the Birdcatcher's agent: Khattab, a Muslim terrorist. With shared back flashes of Joshua's youthful experiences, Steve becomes reliant on Joshua's moral messages to help him cope and mature toward a final absolution from his sins before he sets out on his battle alongside his mysterious friend, Abel Jarrett.
