Publisher's Synopsis
"I put Trixie in the microwave to punish her for peeing on the floor. When I seen her flopping around in there and her eyes bulging, I knew she was getting too hot. Her fur was smoking and she was squeeling like a pig. "A dog squeeling like a pig." Ha, that's funny. I guess I changed my Trixie back into a hot dog, huh?" The psychiatrist fought to keep his face emotionless. In all his years of trying to fathom the workings of the criminal psyhotic, he could not recall talking to a more vacuous, unfeeling human being. Duncan Demora registered absolutely no sympathy or regret for any of his actions. Not even when he described the murders of his parents and a neighborhood youth who happened to incur Duncan's wrath. There was no question in the doctor's mind that for the safety of society - unless a miracle of healing occurred - this youth must remain under lock and key for the remainder of his life. That very night Duncan escaped into the wilderness of Canada's Rocky Mountain range and became another of authorities' many unresolved concerns and unfinished business. Until, that is, four friends selected his backyard as the place to vacation and find adventure. Too late, they realized they were targets of a killer more vicious than any natural creature of any forest.
