The book is a narration of events as they occurred during a tumultuous period in recent Afghan history, from early 2000 to 2002. It describes the life as it was lived by the high and low during the last years of the Taleban rule under Mullah Omar. The ground realities as seen first-hand by the author, not what was projected by the world media, have been described in some detail.
