Aware, however, that the ground over which he had travelled, had often been treated upon by much more able pens, he for fame time fupprefied his hopes of becoming a candidate for fame in the literary world: but after the general encourage ment he met, he would have been guilty of injufiice to himfelf, and of want of confidence in his friends, had be any longer hefitated to appear the Public.
