Publisher's Synopsis
This study explores the major themes of Friedrich Georg Juenger's works: classical antiquity, the cyclic essence of existence, the depersonalization of modern man through technology, and the irrational forces in life. Each theme is related to Juenger's life and thought as well as to his work as a whole. Some of Juenger's prose has caused extensive debate and his poetry and short stories have attracted wide attention, but this is the first full-length study devoted solely to Juenger and concerned with the total body of his work.
