I have been for some time in the habit of marking in an inter leaved copy of Halliwell's Dictionary references to any of the words noted therein that I may have come across in my reading. I found, however, that even a Dictionary so copious as that had left many terms unrecorded, and about four years ago the idea occurred to me of compiling a Supplementary Glossary.
