To no slight degree drill work has been made a conscious feature in the preparation of the composition material. It will be seen, particularly in the later exercises of the book, that the sentences of the English part are based on the words and the turns of phrase occurring in the Spanish part pre ceding. On this account the student needs to resort but rarely to the Vocabulary, when translating from English into Spanish.
