An appealing selection of wood engravings, printed from the block, by John Lawrence, who studied under Gertrude Hermes. The 4 loose prints, illustrating the seasons, were originally created for The Magic Apple Tree by Susan Hill.With additional hand-coloured and signed engraving by Lawrence ('All Afloat: Coat' from Rabbit and Pork, 1975, 53/60 prints, printed from the original block by Simon Lawrence of the Fleece Press, for Childhood Re-collected, 1994.)
