Publisher's Synopsis
Tucked in a forgotten corner of Silexare, in the foothills of the Moonstone Mountains, lies the small town of Berdes. Here, Darke and his three closest friends agree to track and capture the Parandrus, a mythical beast that dwells near the wild and uncharted Lake of Four Falls. On their way through the Unwithering Woods, they are confronted by ancient guardians of rivers and forests, assaulted by vengeful alchemists, chased by territorial grindbears, tested by pine spirits, and stalked by a lurking evil. The party is broken and when the moment comes to fulfill the agreement, it is not at all what they expected. There is more than the sawmill at stake.
