Until about two years since these lands have possessed but little read value, in consequence of the region of country being in such awild state, although there were many persons who believed that Coal and Iron were there in considerable quantities about that time a company was incorporated for the purpose of making a rail road from Tyrone, a town situated on the line of the Pennsylvania Rail Road, and passing near Bellefonte and Lockhaven on the W est branch of the Susquehanna River.
