The intimate connection of the bladder and rectum with the vagina, will not allow us to suppose a complete inversion of the latter, without traction of the connecting interstitial tissue, and consequently also, Of the posterior wall of the bladder, and ante rior one of the rectum. In consequence of these conditions, parts of the neighboring organs are drawn down into the everted vagina.
