I have the honor to submit herewith for publication as Bulletin No. 1, not the Florida State Geological Survey. A preliminary report of the underground water supply of central Florida. This bulletin has grown out of the clo-operative investigation-s between the State and the Na tional Surveys made in accordance with plans approved by you at thebeginning of the year. The plan of cooperative work provides for an investigation of the water supply and of the general geology of the entire State. This pre liminary bulletin is based upon the field work done by the State Survey during the fall of 1907, and is' issued at this time to meet the needs of the citizens of the State who desire the information obtained at as early a date as.
