The present volume, though not free from defects, is very com prehensive, and affords a valuable fund of useful information, instead of the isolated facts and remarks which have hitherto been scattered through our libraries; and besides, the work embraces some new ideas and modes of treatment, which must prove valu able to the profession, who will have cause to feel grateful to Messrs. Trousseau and Belloc for their exertions, and the results of their experience.
