Barely managing to escape the prehistoric era before being consumed by a T. rex, Nathan finds himself in Italy during the Renaissance. Taken in by a local family, he is amazed and mesmerized by the time, but still must find a way out and back to the 1800s. Eventually learning of another, possible time splice, he embarks on a cross-country journey filled with adventure and peril while accompanied by two unlikely companions.
