Publisher's Synopsis
This is a true story about a young boy growing up in industrial Yorkshire who witnesses a scene through a gap in a door just a matchstick wide. When he sees too much. When rage lets rip, and innocents suffer, and the world bleeds.
Only three people knew about it. The person involved was nothing to the world but should have counted. Their thoughts should have been allowed to come, and their hopes and dreams realised. She should have been allowed a place to grow. But that didn't happen. She couldn't come out and play. The reasons why, she can't explain. Others can, and she will leave it to them. To their voices and words. They can tell you themselves. Her mother and father, and brother. They can tell you in their own words about what happened to her.
