As a business owner and consultant to business, I often have the occasion to offer advice on which loans are right for a particular business, which technical assistance advisor to choose for a specific skill set and where to find business or executive training, because these issues seem to be consistent across all small business, I decided to write this guide to help with this challenge. In 1980, as a consultant, I authored a similar version of the guide for the City of Philadelphia, "A Guide to Business Assistance in Philadelphia".
