Publisher's Synopsis
Previously published as "A General Approach to Infectious Disease and Support of Health and Wellbeing: Suggestions to ameliorate the disaster of the SARS-CoV-2 response and prevent the future imposition of the new "abnormal" by Peter Farrell MNIMH. This new edition is an extension of an opinion piece that provides some suggestions for a more measured and rational, general response to potential respiratory diseases such as the infectious SARS-CoV-2 of 2020. Avoiding complex data and relying only on reason based on years of experience, the author questions the flawed nature of an unprepared, ill-thought out and arbitrary response based largely on vacuous rationale and fuelled by a misplaced and undue sense of fear. He encourages a long-term strategy of a personally responsible approach to supporting health and well-being in order to help combat future disease assaults, thus reducing the need for imposing excessive and harmful, draconian measures. With extended appendices he questions the outlandish misunderstanding of variants and, by way of response to the increasing demonisation of those who might resist the orthodox narrative, he discusses the importance and necessity of questioning authority.
