Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from A Description of Both Touns of Aberdeen
To complete the series, a plate is given, reduced from an original drawing, representing the Burgh as it appeared in 1739. This work of an artist, of whom nothing but his name is known, is in the possession of Mr. D. Laing, to whose liberality the Club is indebted for its use. The original drawing is about four feet eight inches long by thirteen inches high, and is neatly and evidently faithfully executed.
