Semantics or theory of meaning and truth forms one of the major discussions of analytical philosophy. The questions pertaining to sense and reference, truth conditions and meaning, syntax and pragmatics are all interconnected.1 The advocates of formal language tradition, gives significance to truth conditions in semantic discussions and those philosophers belonging to natural language tradition focussed on meaning and use in their semantic valuations. Whether there exists a distinction between formal and natural language itself is debatable and whether one can make distinctions between syntax, semantics and pragmatics, all turn to be a matter of serious philosophical thinking.
