This textbook, the sequel to A Course in Attic Greek I, offers a thorough introduction to the entire system of Greek grammar and syntax. Completion of the text will prepare the student to read any ancient Greek author in the original, including works in koine. In addition to grammatical explanations, a running vocabulary, exercises, and sentences for both translation and composition, this text also includes longer reading passages from such authors as Herodotus, Xenophon, Anacreon, and Plato. The approach is traditional, but the readings and exercises in the text are designed in such a way that they will serve as a natural gateway to discussions about Greek literature, history, and culture.
