Publisher's Synopsis
Almost a year after the doorstep murder of media celebrity, Cathy Sphinx, the police are no closer to solving the crime and the murderer is always one step ahead. As they broaden their net, members of Kensington CID, from London visit Poole, in Dorset, to question 7 individuals whose descriptions are similar to those given by members of the public close to the scene of the crime. With Kensington CID in the area, Eddie Taylor quickly moves out of his apartment, selling a number of unwanted items to lighten his load,including an answerphone,which,in his haste he fails to check for any calls.
