Greek Testament, any grammatical analysis, any point of verbal criticism elucidated and established must be most im portant and satisfactory, as tending to give additional beauty to the language itself, and to invite him to turn without any feeling of fastidiousness from the beauties of classical litera ture to those of the Sacred Scriptures, (for he will find that, though in general these are not written with Attic elegance, correct and perspicuous as they are, yet they contain beauties, and even sublimity, ) till he becomes rivetted and enamoured with them, and no longer studying them as a compulsory or uninteresting task and with cold indifference, he can taste and feel their soul-stirring spirit, the divinity that breathes in them, that says with a voice which he cannot mistake, God is in them of a truth.
