These poems ask you to listen, because it's very important to listen. We learn that, in this collection of stories told in verse. We hear "all of the girls envied somebody else" and we remember those days when everyone else seemed to be doing better until finally we realize that by listening to ourselves and others we, too, can become the one we want to be.
