Publisher's Synopsis
A City of Two Tales consists of a series of essays on Ellen Harmon White (1827-1915), one of the founders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and widely acknowledged to have been its principal spiritual and strategic guide, especially through her prolific writings. Some of these essays represent extensions of the work of Fred Veltman in the 1980s, associated with his research findings concerning White's writings on the life of Christ, or responses to his calls for further research. Otheressays are independent studies of events in her life or characteristics of her writings.
