Christmas without Santa? Impossible! But Santa has disappeared. No-one has seen him exercising his reindeer or meeting children in department stores. Santa has just vanished. There is mass panic - for there can be no Christmas without Santa. Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Santa - upset at not having received any 'thank-you' letters last Christmas - has decided to retire. Convinced that the world no longer needs him, Santa has set out to find a new life for himself and Mrs Claus. The question is - can anyone find Santa? What is he doing? And what, if anything, will persuade him to come out of retirement? Or - is this really the end of Christmas?
