Publisher's Synopsis
This is the story of a Science student at Simon Fraser University when it first opened for business in 1965. It describes the classes and the professors, the accommodation available for a student, the activities the students would do when not in classes, and the type of jobs the student would do on terms away from university. The story is more than the story of a new university, it's a snapshot of the times in the late 1960's. This is the story not only of the university but also of a young man growing up, overcoming the boyhood shyness, making friends in the big city. This story is a continuation of this student's earlier life described in the book "Growing up in the Okanagan" which covers the period up to high school graduation.
