Excerpt from A Catalogue of the Sculptures of the Parthenon, in the British Museum
According to the plan of that work, its separate parts were ued singly as well as collectively. Part II. Of Volume I., iling with the Sculptures of the Parthenon, was quickly hansted. It was reissued, with considerable alterations, in 00 and 1906, and is now out of print. In the present ition its form has been changed. The historical portions ve been amplified; the formal descriptions and copious 'crenees, appropriate to a catalogue, have been abbreviated, (1 their full statement is reserved for a new edition of the talogue of Sculpture.
