Publisher's Synopsis

Daniel Runkle is an Aerospace Engineer presently working in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Dan has worked as a stress analyst for the majority of his thirty-two year career, but has also taught leadership and management in USAF ROTC, briefly pastored a small congregation in Missouri, and served ten years as an officer in the United States Air Force. Dan learned beekeeping at the age of 14, but laid down the beekeeper's gloves in 1982 when he left his home state of Florida to serve in the military. In 2003 a fellow pastor in the Jackson, MO area told him of the newly emerging problem of Varroa mites. In the Summer of 2009, Dan felt overwhelmingly compelled to return to the art of beekeeping. In this book, Dan shares what he has learned in his years of beekeeping in Florida and Texas. This book will help novices to get started and provides helpful information for more experienced beekeepers. as well.
