Poetry is a deeply personal conversation between the poet and his or her readers. Once you have read the lines a poet has emotionally and freely put on the written page you have had an intimate opportunity to look into the soul of another human being. Sometimes there is an immediate connection and sometimes the experience that the poet is conveying does not apply to your own life experiences....but when you find that special poem that says everything you've always wanted to say and brings a clarity to those thoughts you were sure belonged only to you then you have found not only a muse but a friend that will always be there for you. Through years of happiness and sadness, confusion and regrets, poetry has been the one constant in my life that has never let me down. I hope you will find it to be the same for you. This poetry book looks at all the functional and dysfunctional sides of life. The joy and the sadness, love and loss, family and faith. It is, simply put, a mixed bag of emotions that takes you from birth to death and more importantly, everything that's in between.
