This is not a detective story. It is a book of evidence about mental and spiritual evolution. The story of what, if anything, happened, depends upon the reader's interpretation. However, there is much in Lao Tzu's work that seems to speak towards today's questions about leadership and government."81 Days" is an attempt to interpret the 81 verses of the "Tao Te Ching" into words of personal understanding. It is not a translation or commentary and there is no message, merely observation. The Inner Chapters are somewhat modeled after the 33 chapters of Zhuangzi, but not intended as parallel interpretations.
