Publisher's Synopsis
"We can't change the things which make us suffer, but we can avoid the pain rotting inside us." Viviana is twenty years old, has an obscurely hostile family, and a work she does not like. In her life, however, there is also Niko, who loves her sincerely, aunt Enrica who gives her the love her family denies her, and Mara, her best friend and accomplice. But this is not enough. Viviana is restless, unfulfilled, and cannot imagine what her future will be like. She comes then to a drastic and painful decision: to leave her home city in Sicily and move to Turin. It will be this cold city - apparently amazingly far from her sunny habitat - that will offer her the opportunity of meeting new people who will deeply influence her young life and will lead her to unexpected directions.
